Meet Meyer — Owner & Operator

Carpet Lab was established in 2001 when Meyer, then a university student, started cleaning carpets as a side income. What began as a weekend job quickly grew into a full-time business built on three simple principles: integrity, quality and trust.

Over two decades later, Meyer still personally handles every single job. There are no subcontractors, no junior staff sent in his place. When you book Carpet Lab, you get Meyer — with 24 years of hands-on experience.

This personal approach is what sets Carpet Lab apart from larger cleaning companies. Meyer knows every carpet type, every stain, every chemical combination that works — because he has been doing this himself every day since 2001.

W.E.E. Level 12 Compliant — Carpet Lab meets all regulatory compliance requirements for professional cleaning services in South Africa.

Carpet Lab - professional carpet cleaner Cape Town

FAQ:

Under normal factors carpets normally dries between 1 - 2 hours. This all depends on carpet type, room ventilation, humidity level, etc.

Cleaning carpets and upholstery regularly is important if you suffer from asthma, allergies or other health issues. Cleaning between 1 - 2 times per year would suffice. Heavy traffic areas, small children, having pets etc. should be washed more often if you want prolonged carpet life

Small loose items can be removed from the room/area for quicker washing time. Moving larger furniture is optional

A small house with three carpets and lounge suite will roughly take 1.5 - 2 hours depending on spot removal, deodorizing, heavy trafficked areas.

I also clean car seats, office carpets and chairs, mattresses, blinds.

About 90% of all stains and spots can be removed with the right chemicals. Remember the longer you leave the stain or odour the harder it will be to remove. The deodiriser in the cleaning solution will deal with most pet odours and urine stains.

High ozone shock treatment or ozone blasting is a process for removing unwanted odour, killing mold, vermin and micro-organisms in commercial and residential buildings. This is used for carpets that have been water soaked (burst geyser, flash floods), excessive exposure to pet urine, etc.
